I actually laughed out loud a couple of times, something I rarely get to do when reading a book, no matter how funny. Why? IF you have ever experienced the wrath of an over zealous, unreasonable POA/HOA President, your are going to love and cheer the words of an innocent child in addressing him. Something we probably have all wanted to say, but didn't.
But most of all, is the romance between Jon and Christy and the sweet, mischievous antics of Rudi, that made this book so much fun to read.
The pace is just right. Have no doubt, most will enjoy this book. I suspect, some will slip it to that son, who sometimes despairs of the best way to find a lifelong partner.
As the message of this book tells us -- you just have to listen to your heart. 5 stars.
The problem now is, how long we will have to wait for more from Skyline Mountain ? Encore!

It is fun to find a great new author with fun characters.
This was a fun story, with zany characters. I wish it had been longer so the author could have fleshed out the characters more.
It captured me from start to finish which came way too soon...I want to know how their future turned out which is a sign of a well written book that it leaves you in love with characters and wanting more. This is the perfect book for those cold winter days and nights that are best spent with a good book (this one) and a cozy comforter. It was smooth reading and done before I knew it.

I found this a fun romance read. I loved the terminology and flirtiness of the neighbor. It was nice for a change not to have such an involved description of the love making, but left it up to you to fill in the blanks. Just a sweet fun read and one that makes you waiting on the books to come! Keep writing Lesia!
Jon and Christy know how to have fun and enjoy the moment. Their lives change and grow before your eyes. Even the curmudgeony neighbor adds a different dimension. A great read. I look forward to hearing more from Lexia Flynn.
Lesia Flynn's book is a wonderful story and I loved every word! Her characters meet and start a relationship around the need to decorate the outside of a house for the holidays, a chore that those of us who are avid holiday decorators can relate to! It's nice to see a story start out with two people working together to meet this goal and falling in love along the way. The final decorating effort and result were a delightful surprise! I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a combination of humor and romance in a story you can't put down until you're finished!
This novella is a charming Christmas romance. Jon is new to the community and needs help putting up his outdoor Christmas decorations. He gets help from his lovely neighbor, Christy, whose husband was killed in the Middle East. She realizes how important it is to enjoy every day. Plus there's a grumpy neighbor, Dicker, to add to the mix. As Christy helps Jon with his decorations, a friendship becomes much more.
